Jacob Rauscher was born in Indianapolis, IN, where he grew up on the east side of town. He returned to the metro area of his upbringing 10 years ago to work as a painter and print maker, and holds his bachelor degree of fine art printmaking from Heron School of Art.
Rauscher’s work explores various aspects of human mental and sociological transition, informed by philosophy, theology and psychology. His work also seeks to expose the less observed mental and sociological conditions found in humanity in ways that challenge common conceptions of reality and society. Rauscher has shown in galleries in Indianapolis, Chicago and Greece, and is a member of the Southern Graphics Council.
